Happy 3 year Anniversary Menus from Cannes, France

Bonjour! I was both honored and excited to be back in Cannes, France. This was my 4th year, and if I could, I would go back every year for the rest of my life. There's always so much to see and do and so many nearby places I want to visit, restaurants I want to eat at and many, many more menus I need to collect. On this trip, I collected 2 new menus and was pleased to collect an old menu from one of my favorite restaurants, which got a revamped look.

Éze Village is a small medieval artist community atop a high cliff that is about a 1 hour drive from Cannes and about 25 minutes from Nice. We took the train, which took us about 1 and 15 minutes. It was a nice scenic ride along the coast.

There are 3 ways to get to the top of the cliff where Eze is situated. You can take the bus for a small fee, take a cab for a larger fee or hike the Nietzsche Path for free, which can take up to 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on your physical health. We hiked it both ways. It was a great workout and the views are amazing!

All that hiking up definitely made us thirsty and hungry so after perusing the village, we decided to go to Le Cactus, a crepe restaurant that had surprisingly delicious food. It was also pouring rain around the time we were deciding on where to eat, so this place was the closest and most convenient. So glad we went here. The restaurant also had one of the best roses I've ever drank on the French Riviera and the selection of crepes was extensive and they all looked good.

I would highly recommend going to Éze, hiking up the Nietzsche path and having a glass of rose and eating a crepe at Le Cactus.

Going to new places to eat on La Croisette is always a treat. While we go back to some of the same restaurants year after year because we love, love, love the food, and sometimes the server, it's always great to try somewhere new. I'm actually shocked that I haven't been to Le Vesuvio in the last three years of coming to Cannes because it's an institution and the food is really good. It's also right next door to Le Voilier, a restaurant that we go to yearly. I'm glad I finally dined here and will probably make this an annual treat as well.

I was a bit nervous about collecting this menu because it was large, but thankfully, it somehow managed to fit in my bag and I was pretty discreet about carrying it out because it was poking outside of my bag. Like a pro!

Speaking of restaurants that we go back to yearly, I can't get enough of the sole meuniére at Astoux & Brun. It's one of the best restaurants to get seafood in Cannes; although, I haven't really tried that many seafood places in Cannes, but there's always a wait for tables and it consistently has good food and service, so why go anywhere else?

The menu got a makeover and it's definitely much more durable and eye catching than the flimsy menu I collected back in 2014. And as you can see, my fav dish, sole meuniére, is presented the same way back in 2014 as it is today! Gotta love consistency.
